Cohort 2024

BIPOC Organizers Cohort 2024 — Recap & Free Resource

In 2024 we hosted a three‑month BIPOC Organizers Cohort—six brilliant organizers from the vegan and animal‑advocacy space who met every other week to swap stories and map funding roadblocks. Instead of leaning on outside “experts,” we centered the lived wisdom of Black, Indigenous & People of Color doing the work day‑to‑day.

What came out of it?

A practical, 14‑page Resource packed with real‑world tips and reflection prompts, all created by the cohort for the wider movement.

Why grab it?

This resource reflects the real struggles and creative strategies of BIPOC organizers navigating funding in white-dominant spaces. It’s not a guide written from theory. It’s a snapshot of lived experience, shaped by folks who know what it means to organize with limited resources and limitless vision. Whether you’re an organizer, funder, or movement supporter, it offers concrete ideas to reflect on and build from.
